scrap at it.

Ahh, finally my little crafting space is unpacked, my table is cleared off, and am ready for some serious projects. This week I'm pulling out my scrapbook supplies and starting on Mr. Graham's book. It's about time...This kid has way too many pictures! After giving it some thought, I've decided to archive his 100s of pictures in a Kolo album and save the best of the best for true scrapbook pages. That way I can focus on journaling and creating around the major milestones and sentimental stuff--and not be burdened with guilt over our multitude of our family pictures. I feel like the digital age is a bit of a catch 22. Having so many pics and memories is absolutely wonderful, but maybe just a tad overwhelming? All this makes me very curious...what works for you? How do you organize your photos?

I love the first page you created for little G's scrapbook.

I'm like you-I have yet to find a way to organize my digital photos {simply because it is such an overwhelming task that I don't where to start.}

Love your new blog title!

I have all my digital photos saved into named folders on the computer but often yearn for old-fashioned albums. Particularly when I go to visit my 86yr old gran who just doesn't understand why we never have prints.

Would love also to hear other peoples organisation.

I know what your mean, I'm totally overwhelmed by how many photos I end up with. I have them organised on my computer in folders.

I'm quite into making mini books at the moment so that works for small events that I want to have in printed book form.

Our honeymoon photos will at some point be put in standard photo albums - the wedding scrapbook has been such an epic task there's no way I can face doing honeymoon ones as well!

There are too many!

I made Elijah a scrapbook of his 1st year and hope to do that for each kid, but probably not make them any individual books after that unless the mood really strikes.

I also have a photo album "for him" which has a picture or two from each month or event, more or less, and he can take this album when he grows up.

Obviously there's the blog book for him but won't be an individual one for the following kids, and his just covers the first 18 months.

And then the photos are just arranged on the computer, and backed up (I hope!) on DVDs. You're right, it is completely overwhelming! But a fun way to be overwhelmed.

I know- too many pics! It's so hard. I really want to start making blurb books. I think it will be a somewhat quick and manageable way to get good albums and that way you can still blow up some pics, and keep some as tiny thumbnails.

I love the scrapbook pages and the new banner…Something that I often do for photo storage is copy all of the pictures that I don’t use in a scrapbook onto a CD, and then make a pocket for that CD at the back of the book.

Adorable scrap pages and referring to your pervious post I don't think I've seen a cuter chicken! Ever!! Seriously he is a doll!!
I love having all my albums on the computer, but we have a big fat album for each of the boys that sit in the living room with picks of our favorite photos of them!! Having lots of pictures of your wee one is something you will cherish forever :)

So so sweet, I love that last page. And I'm the last person to ask about what to do with photographs, I'm two years and one kid behind!
