my little dear giveaway!

Hello & Happy Monday, my friends! We had a pretty mellow weekend around here. (I love that sort!) I'm excited to unveil a new little feature around here...I've added pages. I had no idea how easy it would be! I have a few more in the works--but for now you can click the links above (and directly below the title) to see some of my favorite recipes, craft tutorials, and learn more about our photography. I'm so excited--I feel like my blog is becoming user-friendly...even better than just plain friendly. :)

In other news, I'm really excited to offer a fun kid-friendly giveaway today! Amanda at My Little Dear Kids has kindly offered to share one of her awesome ABC shirts (size 0-3 months - 4T) plus a pretty headband (for girls 3 and up) with us. We've developed a great relationship with Amanda over the last year and have enjoyed doing a few photo shoots of her products. She is a fabulous graphic designer + crafter with great style sense. I'm so excited that she's finally started a brand new blog, full of (even more) eye candy.
There are 3 different ways to enter and win a shirt or headband. Do one or all 3 to up your chances of winning:

1. Leave a comment below sharing something sweet about childhood (either your childhood, or a story about a kid in your life)

2. Link to this giveaway on your blog, twitter, or facebook--then leave a separate comment sharing your link.

3. Like My Little Dear on facebook. (And leave an additional comment stating you did so.)

Giveaway ends + winners announced Monday 3/7. Good luck lovelies! :)

This may sound silly - but there are times in my life when I will smell something, whether it be a flower, or the rain, or the dirt outside after a good downpour - that I truly remember days in my childhood. Like I am really there in that moment of the past. I love it. Sometimes I search for those smells just so I can 'relive' those memories. It is like a little piece of heaven. :) (ex. when I smell a toasted marshmallow, it takes me back to when I was 6 at a camp ground in the mountains for my birthday.) :)

Ooo I'm so excited about this giveaway. Those abc shirts are adorable. I have sooo many wonderful moments with my son, AJ. One of my favorites is when we were watching Toy Story at home and I pretended to be scared of Lotso. He wrapped his chubby little arms around me and said, "It's ok mommy. I'm here". He's TWO years old! I wanted to cry lol. I love him :)

What a sweet giveaway. hmm...i loved my childhood. One of my fave memories would be eating watermelon everyday in the summer with my Pop-Pop. Our family lived on the same farm with them. Such a special thing to be so close to your grandparents.

I love lots of things my little girl does, but I think one of my favorite things she does is when we say back and forth "I love you more, no, I love you more!".

Sweet memory- We had a little closet under the stairs that we called the Tornado Closet. You know, bunker down in case of tornado...We'd hide in there with all sorts of blankets, pillows, toys, etc. It was SO fun. Loved it.

I loved spending summers at my grandparents home in Southern Oregon. We'd go out on the rowboat across the river to the ropeswing, pick ripe blackberries off the vine until our fingers were sticky sweet, and play tag, pretend, and you name it until dusk settled in at night. The best was when it would storm and winds would flail, and pink lightning would cross the sky as we'd stay protected inside our screened in porch watching all the mayhem outside, while playing board games with family. Good times.

Love this giveaway - awesome! Our little girl turns one month today, so your question about childhood sweetness took me back to four weeks ago today when her sweet little body was placed on my chest and our eyes met for the first time...so amazing.

One of my favorite memories is of my sister and I making snow angles at our cabin, running in when we couldn't take the cold anymore, and making ourselves hot chocolate (because we were big girls now). We counted out the marshmallows to make sure that it was fair and square. Thank you for the chance to win.

Favorite memories as a kid involve being with my sisters. Which usually includes listening to The Carpenters on the way home from swim practice in the Summer and then watching re-runs of "Charlie's Angels" while eating Strawberry Nutrigrain Bars. Things that spark memories for me? Music, Food, Movies and loving family.

Jack's very first prayer at dinner last night was a pretty heart melting moment..." mumble...mumble...mumble...num-nums...mumble...mumble...A-MEN! "

This is such a darling giveaway...and I seriously adore the photo shoots you guys have done with her stuff...

the sweetest thing in my life is watching my baby sleep. it is a) such a reward to get him to sleep & b) he looks so peaceful & safe in my arms. i love it.

I loved having "special codes" with my sister. We were supposed to be going to sleep, but we'd tap so many times on the wall for different things. Eventually our parents would yell at us to go to sleep.

Oh my goodness. The onesie and headband are so cute!! We are expecting our first child in early May and I am looking forward to creating lots of sweet memories with our new babe. I have many fond memories growing up: baking cookies with my mom, teaching my brother to "read" (I was 4 and he was 2... can't imagine I was doing too much teaching), playing kick-the-can with our neighbors and school. (How fun were the holiday parties in elementary school... or even assemblies?!) Wow... that was a fun walk through memory lane. Thank you for the opportunity to participate in your giveaway!!

Nothing sweeter than the love between two brothers!

children take their known and apply it to their unknown. well, my youngest daughter took the work 'button' and applied it to zippers. so she always asks me to 'zippon' her. i love it so. i have never corrected her. well, it is a sign of intelligence! skeime (at) gmail (dot) com

I dont have many memories from childhood with my grandma on my dad's side, but what I do remember ever so sweetly is sitting out on her front poarch late in the evenings together. She taught me how to crochet, shuck peas, and memorize psalms all from that rocking chair on her poarch. She went to be with the Lord when I was 6 so the memories are scarce but very precious.
