18 sweet weeks

...and finally a bit of a baby bump to speak of. Don't get me wrong--I'm not complaining. It's been absolutely wonderful squeezing into my same ol' jeans every day. But I'd been beginning to wonder...Are you still in there babe, are you growing?

Now is such a sweet time. No more nausea/fatigue. Not yet to the point of an overbearing belly, or sore back, or swollen ankles. And in the last week or two, I've started to feel tiny flutters deep inside. I know there's definitely a baby cakes flipping and flirting at random times of the day. And almost before I realize it, that little jumping bean is gone. This never stops amazing me...In fact, it just keeps getting more amazing. It's such a mystery, how my body just knows what to do. It knows exactly how to grow another human life. Incredible. God is so good.

And a week from today, we'll be seeing this little babe in action once again at our next ultrasound; plus hopefully nailing down a gender(!!!). Jeff's dying to know and I'm more than a little curious. Jeff+my parents+numerous girlfriends have strong convictions that it's a girl. And that leaves me dreaming of pink headbands and ballet lessons. But I'm trying so hard not to have any preconceived notions. So to counteract those girly daydreams, I'm planning on bringing nothing less than a wild little boy into this world. A little boy who will run around the house and whack things: one who doesn't understand the words "no," "quiet," or "gentle". And I'll love him more than I could ever even imagine.

You look wonderful! Hurray for 18 weeks! A little story to share with you. :) I wore my regular jeans until 20 weeks. To. the. day.
I put them on, zipped them up and thought, "nope, not anymore." and slipped on a pair of maternity jeans.
Which were a little lose and didn't fit the best, but oh well.
I know that they're spendy, but Gap maternity pants are the best you'll ever get. I had two pairs of cords and I lived in them. So comfortable and fit well. And you look like your built like me, so for shirts for a while just try to find some longer stretchy tees. They work for a good long while and Old Navy tank tops under them extend the life even further. And then you can look in the juniors section for tunic type shirt which are in style and are great for post baby. I still wear mine. :)

Sorry for the novel. lol And I can't believe that PB has that "Dream" pillow! How strange. I do like mine better. :) Hugs!

Aw, I love hearing how things are going! That's so fun that you're feeling good now, showing a little, and feeling the baby!

I brought into the world a wild boy that doesn't know the meaning of the word "sleep." :-p

You look radiant Jess! You're just glowing. And you're going to have the cutest pregnancy pics from your professional photographer hubby! It is so a girl. I just know it! And that ultrasound better not disappoint! Just kidding! I know, I'll be just as happy with a boy, but I'm just sayin.

It is exciting to find a blogger who wants to center their life on Christ and writes cool posts with cool pictures. :) Neat fact: my new husband and I just went to your fair city for our honeymoon last month! okey dokey, just wanted to say hi and "introduce" myself. ;) Kelly

My goodness! I wish I looked like THAT now, not pregnant. ;)
So, I want to let you know. SOME little girls do not know the meaning of "quiet" "no" and go around and whack at and BREAK things too. :) Just be prepared for all with either. lol
So excited for you Jessica. You look and are beautiful.

you look amazing, and Im with fairlight, I think especially with Rylan I was in my jeans until 20+ weeks, and one day they were gone...

and Im hoping you get a peek at that little one.. but just know I have a little one who is never no never... quiet, or meek.. she is spitfire.. so you just never know! My little man seems to be more mellow than the feminine one... hahah go figure.

So excited for you and Jeff so very much so.. this is going to be such a ride!
