Wow. Today is a very special day in blog world, indeed: 1. I'm joining the festivities over at Artsymama's blog (Sidenote: She's a Minnesota blogger!). It's one giant crafting party to commemorate the inaugural issue of a brand new mag, Artful Blogging. How exciting! 2. Today is the day that I unveil the contents of my favorite things package. It was scheduled to arrive at Jennifer's in Salt Lake City today!! It just so happens that my favorite thing in the whole entire world is crafting...So most of my package echoed my love of homemade/handmade! 3. I want to share some crafting love with you...Find out about my very first giveaway below! Here goes:
The first object of my affection is paper. Since my swap partner has 2 little boys, I choose some boyish papers 8x8 papers from the stash, simply cut them into triangles, glued them to string, and made a lovely paper banner...Perfect for a b-day party or a little wall decor!
Favorite thing #2 is ribbon. I love love love ribbons of all colors, fabrics, and sizes! I included a short stack of ribbons that coordinated especially well with the banner colors.
Favorite thing #4: tea! I absolutely love drinking tea, collecting tea dishes, and hostessing tea parties. I sent my swap-bud a little assortment of herbal fruit teas, but forgot to take a pic of the cute little box. {This photo is from flickr.} Someday when I own a sewing machine, I want to make adorable little tea cozies like this one. Although, I think mine would have lots of buttons and ribbons and vintage fabrics...Yum.
And last but not least, favorite thing #5: handmade earrings! Lately I've been adding jewelry to my crafting repetoire. This cute pink earrings are my latest girly creations...I made 2 pairs! No girl can have too many earrings.**And since this is a crafting blog party sort of day, I've concluded that no party is a true party without a door prize!
