spring things

I know I shouldn't be shocked at the sight of a March snowstorm in Minnesota. I shouldn't be surprised at the thought of strapping on my boots and reaching for a shovel, but I'd much rather pretend that the events of this week never happened. Inside we are welcoming the birds and buds in full spring-fever fashion. And I can't seem to stop with the bowties. They are so so fun to make! Just a sneak peak for now...Graham will be modeling his tomorrow!

Pretty please don't miss your chance to win this gorgeous sunshiny handbag. You're going to kick yourself if you don't enter this week's giveaway!

I wish I could convince my hubby to wear a bowtie! My hair stylist rocks them with such awesomeness and one of my cats has a bowtie collar, I just wish my stubborn husband would wear one! Especially if it was a cute one like the ones you made! =)

@nikki: the flora and fauna are cutouts from some vintage books. i scored them on my last run to hunt & gather, the cutest antique shop in minneapolis! i wrote more about them here:

I love seeing how you change things up with the garland at your mantle! It always looks great. And the bow ties are such a cute idea! I'm thinking of going to this Craft Bar with Etsy Labs to learn how to make some of my own. Apparently they're all the rage! http://www.mocfa.org/craftbar/index.htm
