change of plans...

At approximately 5:56 this morning, I was dressed in my scrubs, putting the finishing touches on my PB&J, rounding up my car keys and stethoscope before heading in to work. At 5:57, I got the blessed phone call stating that our ICU is slow, we have hardly any patients...I had no choice but to stay home. {At this point, I may or may not have jumped and danced a mini celebratory dance.} At 5:59 I was curled up on the couch with my laptop on facebook. By 6:30-something I had hopped back into bed. At 7:23 I woke to the sound of a happy baby boy. At 8:13 I was waltzing around the kitchen making french toast stuffed with cream cheese and strawberry-peach jam. Mornings don't get much more luxurious than this. Am remembering the magnificent feeling of snow days...I don't mind an unexpected change of plans every now and then.

While we're on the topic, I've had a slight change of plans in my Meet the Maker Monday schedule and I need to let you in on a little secret...This Monday I am going to feature Jeff's photo biz. The reason I'm letting the cat outta the bag is that I feel a little awkward/uninspired about writing interview questions. That's where you come in!! If you have a Q you'd like to ask Jeffrey, leave a comment. Everything's fair game...ask anything from what equipment he uses, to what games he plays in photoshop, to how many babies he wants to have someday... I will pick 5 to ask him in the official interview. Then definitely check back on Monday. We've got an amazing giveaway in store for you and you won't want to miss out!!

What's his favourite lens to use - if he had to pick only one to take out for the day, which one would it be?

Would Jeff ever make a trip out to Colorado to capture a wedding in the majestic Rocky Mountains? Just curious how far he travels for a job. =)

What photo does Jeff remember as the first one to inspire him to be a photographer?

Ooo...I have I question I'm dying to have answered, but I know it's late Sunday night, so it might be too late to slip it into the question box! But, I'll try anyway :)

How does one make the most of poor lighting situations (like when you're stuck working with dreadful indoor lighting)? Are there any tips you can give that will help get that naturally-lit glow, despite a complete lack of sunshine?

P.S. I fully support your L of L obsession, Jess. I've already been back to look at another nightie...it's a sick obsession, it really is...but such a beautiful one. :)
