Summer is (finally, truly, actually) here! That's right--I guess you could say that in S.F., we're late bloomers. I'm continually amazed and adjusting to the Mediterranean climate here. After a summer chilly overcast and gloom, the fog has finally burned off and we've had nothing but 100% gorgeous, warm days for the past 2 weeks!
Yesterday I was officially inspired to make homemade lemonade, for the first time ever in my life. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was!
I simply dissolved 1c. sugar in 1c. hot water, added 1c. of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Then I poured in 4c. cold water, ice, and lemon slices. The result: the perfect accompaniment to a perfect picnic in the sunshine of Golden Gate Park with Jeff's Grandma Jackie and Great-Grandma Dorothy!
1. sunshine in a pitcher, 2. lemonade, 3. Lemonade stand means summer, 4. Summertime, Summertime...Please Hurry.
