december, already?

It's not that I didn't see it coming ever since...Halloween. But still, I woke yesterday morning and was surprised to see my calendar flipped to December. Already. And now just 23 quick more days 'til Christmas! I am so very giddy to deck the halls, pick out the perfect tree and haul in that big green beauty. We both have Friday afternoon free, and I am counting the hours 'til decorating day! Yesterday Jeff and I did a quick morning shopping spree to catch the tail end of the big weekend sales. We're about 80% done with the shopping. Yipee! It's so much more fun to Christmas shop when you have concrete ideas and stick to the list. To sweeten my shopping day, I scored this cutesy red felt tree skirt. I wasn't about to let our tree be skirtless for yet another year. TjMax. Awesome deal. Looks totally adorable, almost handmade. ;)

  2. That is a darling tree skirt!
Confesion - we have never had a "real" tree skirt. I've wrapped fabric around the base a few times, but we now have a tree that has branches that lay on the floor and the base is never visable, so, whew, no need to worry about a tree skirt anymore! :) But yours is beyond adorable. Happy beginning of December! Let's enjoy every minute of it, shall we?

  4. That tree skirt is beyond adorable. Now I am going to go and see if we have a TJ Max around here and if so, go hunt one down of my own...just call me your Christmas copy cat. :) Super, perfect find though and maybe someday, like Fairlight's, our tree won't be skirtless.

  6. So I got David to stop by TJ Max on his way home from work and guess what now adorns the bottom of our Christmas tree...it's not identical to yours but pretty close to it...there is a rim of white around the bottom instead of it being red all the way to the ends...other than that, our tree skirts match...thank you so dearly for sharing...I am so in love with ours, not to mention the guy who was sweet enough to go out of his way and hunt it down for me!

  8. I love the tree skirt! Truthfully, you are so crafty that I assumed you had made it! I was about to fly over to your etsy shop and order myself one. Imagine my disappointment that you got it at TjMaxx. Oh well, there is a TjMaxx by my house. I guess I can take a look there. I still wish you had made it!
