every night at 8:00pm,

I become a free woman.
The baby beast has been tucked peacefully into bed.
I have the liberty of baking brownies from scratch on a whole new level.
Free to enjoy a hot date with the other man of the house,
on the couch watching the latest Office episode
(my one and only tv addiction...well, maybe we stay tuned in for the Marriage Ref sometimes too...what's with those crazy couples and their always crazy pets, anyway?)
Yeah, our date nights aren't what they used to be,
rarely leaving home, surrounded by a myriad of baby toys, but we savor them the same.
(Is our blinding white skin is a testament to the fact that we don't get out much?)
Hangin' in Brownies:

Stir together:
1/2 c. melted butter
1 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla

2 eggs
(and beat well)

Separately, combine
1/2 c. flour
1/3c. cocoa powder
1/4t. baking powder
1/4t. salt

Gradually add dry ingredients to butter mixture, beat until well blended.
Bake in greased 8x8 square baking dish at 350 degrees for 25 minutes.

Cool and add your favorite chocolate frosting. (We all know mine comes from a can!)

I was totally drawn to the brown Funky Owl shirt - it is completely striking and set apart from traditional white shirts.

I also became a facebook fan!
