recycled heart garland

True confession: Like most gals I know, I have this tendency to drool over my Anthro catalogs every month (let's not even talk about the way my heart bleeds inside the brick and mortar)...but I can scarcely afford to look at them, let alone buy anything. And that makes me a bit bummed. So this week, I cut the whole thing up into a million hearts and recycled my guilty pleasure into something I could really love...for free. Now we're talking.
My very favorite month of the year is just around the corner which means it's time to start decorating+ushering in all of the love. I made this simple heart garland with my sewing machine. I love that it's lightweight enough to scotch tape over the window in my craft cave. Talk about easy peasy. Love. love. love.
The sewn paper garland thing is addicting. This is may have been my first, but certainly not my last.

Your favorite month because that's when your favorite nephew was born. ;)

I just signed up for the catalog, thanks! I'd never even thought to do that! I love the store, too... but with a baby shopping is not quite as enjoyable (and then there's always that *budget* thing)...

Super cute garland.

Happy Friday!

Oooh this is so cool! I am having a dinner party tomorrow night, and I might have to hang a couple of these up as decoration.
