So here I am...Completely confused about whether my story is ending or just beginning. Let's settle for somewhere in between. I am freshly graduated from college, packing up our cozy little nest, saying goodbye to old friends and dear family, moving to Cali with my cute husband, Jeff, and starting a blog to help you and me keep track of it all! It seems like only yesterday (or 9 months ago!) that we were unpacking our first little apartment together and nesting in newlywed bliss.
Goodbye, darling first apartment. Goodbye, 4 beautiful seasons in the good old Midwest. Goodbye, barista job at Grand Avenue Cafe--your irresistable bread pudding, delightful employees, and charming regulars. Goodbye, freezing cold walks to class. Goodbye, nursing school. Goodbye, comfy-love brown beaded slippers. My nearest, dearest shoes. You have been the ones for me. May you rest in peace in Eau Claire. It's time for me to fill some fancy "grown-up" shoes...

Well Jess, I will miss you. Hard to believe in a few days you won't be just around the corner, a walk away. I wish you well, it will be so fun in Cali. Congrats on joining the blog world.
